Allonia Gaud

Client Support Manager

Allonia always knew that some day she would marry her predestined knowledge of medicine with her passion for design and leadership. Following in her family’s medical background, Allonia began attending Old Dominion University as a pre-medical student, whose dreams were to help propel the industry forward through innovations in medical technology. While reviewing foundational research in Artificial Intelligence and Oncology, she discovered her love for emerging medical technologies by identifying new ways of machine learning aids in determining possible abnormalities in cell reproduction rates in sample tissues and cell photographs. Then she met the program director of Old Dominion University’s Video Game Design and Development department, and her life changed forever.

Since then, Allonia has led two, year-long, multidisciplinary internship projects that were developed from concept to early version prototypes. Both projects will continue development within Old Dominion University’s Game Design and Development department as full time student work and internship possibilities. While the department encouraged her to pursue a career that marries video games and medicine, Allonia became one of the first Video Game Design and Development graduates, helping lay the foundation for the program for future students.

As Client Support Manager, Allonia’s goals are to aid in managing the technical aspects of the AR product platform, and mitigate the user roadblocks for our practices. When she’s not at work, you can catch her cozying up with de-stressing games, as work life balance is a must for great, future leaders.
